International Mother Language Day (IMLD) is a worldwide annual celebration set by UNESCO and held on 21st of February. The day is set apart to promote awareness of linguistic and cultural diversity and also promote multilinguisim.
In kenya the day is acknowledged but not given the significance as it should be. We however recognize the day as an organization and try to celebrate with the relevant government bodies.
How kenyans celebrated the day through KBC TV in 2015.
